The Wargaming.net League Grand Finals 2015

The Wargaming.net League is returning to Warsaw, Poland in April 2015!

After months of action-packed competition and explosive tank battles, the time has come for the Wargaming.net League Grand Finals! Set to be held in Warsaw, Poland at the EXPO XXI center, the Grand Finals festivities will run from early on Saturday 25 April and finish late afternoon on Sunday 26.

The world’s twelve best World of Tanks teams will be meeting on the field to see if they can wrest the title from the 2014 World Champions, Natus Vincere, and take all the glory for themselves. The Wargaming.net League Grand Finals certainly promises to be an eSports spectacle like no other!

The teams

The team selection process is as follows:

  • Two teams representing Asia and Pacific (APAC, the KR and Asia servers)
  • Two teams representing the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS server)
  • Two teams representing Europe (EU server)
  • Two teams representing North America (NA server)
  • Two teams representing China (CN server)
  • Two teams selected as Wild Cards (WC) for their outstanding performance and/or other qualities

The location

The EXPO XXI centre in Warsaw, Poland’s capital, has everything you could possibly need for a huge eSports event: masses of space, excellent transport links and, of course, ultra-fast internet. An eSports-friendly city that boasts plenty of accommodation options and additional attractions, you won’t be disappointed if you decide to come and watch the show in person!

The tournament format

Following the most recent changes to competitive World of Tanks, the Wargaming.net League will be played in the 7v7 format, with each team having 54 tier points available to spend on vehicles up to Tier VIII. Games will be played in the attack/defence mode, where one team protects two base capture zones, while the other attempts to outmanoeuvre the defenders to capture them, or otherwise destroy all of the enemy vehicles.

The show

If you’re unable to come and watch the Wargaming.net League Grand Finals, you’ll still be well provided for, thanks to the live stream of the event. The Grand Finals will be streamed in both English and Russian, with Wargaming.net currently doing its best to source additional language streams during the event.
